FELS Design Features
Patented Design: Relationship between Waist, Camber & Boot Sole Midpoint
The percentage to which the waist and apex of the camber curve is offset from the middle of the ski’s running surface as defined by the width at tip and tail in relationship to the skiers position on the ski is key to creating a new turn shape that provides outstanding ski performance advantages. This ratio is designed and adjusted per each specific model.
Quality First
Blending top quality composite materials for specific geometries are central to producing high performance skis. From innovative core designs to racing bases the FELS line incorporates only the best selection of materials to enhance the performance of shape.
Skis

Length: 163cm /Waist: 87.5mm / Tip: 132mm / Tail: 115mm / Radius: 14m / Weight: 1575g
Sidecut/Camber: Patented offset waist & camber design with 190mm subtle tip rise profile for new enhanced turn-shape performance in variable conditions.
Construction: Maple power core triaxial dual layered fiberglass sandwich with Sintered UHME-PE an ultra-high quality glide base. See High Performance.
Description: An incredible versatile playful ski that is easy to maneuver on any run yet possesses the ability to carve up the runs like a pro. The 14 m radius is great for short and quick performance turns and yet when opened up for cruising the ski self-dampens for impressive stability. Fantastic choice for a wide range of skier types in a wide range of conditions.

Length: 172cm / Waist: 89.5mm / Tip: 133mm / Tail: 117mm / Radius: 16m / Weight: 1725g
Sidecut/Camber: Patented offset waist & camber design with 185mm subtle tip rise profile for new enhanced turn-shape performance in variable conditions.
Construction: Maple power core triaxial dual layered fiberglass sandwich with Sintered UHME-PE an ultra-high quality glide base. See High Performance.
Description: The new offset patented geometry offers an optimum turn shape that enhances performance. The 172cm with a 89.5mm waist is designed for the ultimate ride off every resort lift. A perfect ski for switching conditions and terrain encountered throughout the day. From ice to moguls to soft packed powder and even a fresh layer of snow on the runs this ski will handle the terrain with ease. Interested in carving at speed? –the 172cm will offer an exhilarating ride on every run! A 16M radius is perfect for the variation of turn sizes need for cross-mountain performance.

Length: 178cm / Waist: 98mm / Tip: 137mm / Tail: 120mm / Radius: 19.5m / Weight: 1895g
Sidecut/Camber: Patented offset waist & camber design with 200mm subtle tip rise profile for enhanced new turn-shape performance in variable conditions.
Construction: Maple power core triaxial dual layered fiberglass sandwich with Sintered UHME-PE an ultra-high quality glide base. See High Performance.
Description: The new offset patented geometry offers an optimum turn shape that enhances performance. The 178cm is designed with a 98mm waist and it excels on firm and soft packed power conditions upon varying terrain. The 19.5m turn radius makes the ski a breeze to handle fast swooping carving speeds on groomed or variable packed powder. In more diverse terrain its adaptive dual flex profile provides a quick turn response. The fore body to tip camber transition provides a smooth and balanced turn through changing conditions while providing impeccable stability.
Construction Details
Material is central to performance, Only high grade wood core composites and laminates are used for the FELS line:
- High Performance: The FELS high-performance design utilizes Canadian maple, which is optimal for strength and stability, and is sandwiched with triaxial fiberglass which is specifically developed for high performance skis to obtain the optimal combination of stiffness profile and torsional rigidity in combination with the wood core taper profile.
- High Performance Carbon: A maple core combined with carbon/flax* is an option for skiers seeking a lightweight and torsionally stiffer ski.
*The lighter weight carbon design incorporates triaxial carbon fiber / ampliTex reinforcement around the maple core. Carbon is a great weight saver, but by itself can produce an unpredictable ski. AmpliTex is a next-generation natural flax fibre material that contributes to the stiffness, but most importantly has great dampening characteristics. The combination of the snappy carbon with dampening ampliTex and Fels patented geometry makes this one of the smoothest fun-riding carbon ski composites available.
Additional Material Features
Base
A fast gliding base makes skiing easier, and of course keeps you moving smoothly with all the speed you need. All FELS skis include sintered UHMW-PE, which is a world-cup race quality base of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with high quality carbon black, modified with special fluor and paraffin based additives, for better gliding in a wide range of conditions. Great wax hold reduces the frequency needed to wax and keep great glide.
Edges
Great performance needs high quality edges. FELS skis incorporate edges featuring high wear resistance, toughness, optimal lubricity, optimized adhesion properties, high breaking strength and high corrosion resistance.
Tip and Tail Protection
The tips and tails can take a beating on and off the slopes. The FELS line includes protection. A titanal layer is included in the tip and Elastolan inserts protect the tail.
